Gender Equality is a Global Priority at UNESCO and UNACOM

UNESCO, UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines (UNACOM), and its partners work towards addressing inequalities in education, empowering women in science and technology for environmental action, promoting inclusion, combating gender-based violence, bridging the digital gender divide, and supporting women’s empowerment in crisis situations. UNESCO and the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines are committed to achieving gender equality, recognizing it as a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for sustainable development and lasting peace.

UNACOM aligns with Philippine Policies on Gender and Development and endeavors to reflect it in the implementation of its sectoral programs, projects and activities.
